The Classic City Marathon, Half Marathon, and Marathon Relay are presented by the Athens Road Runners and its associated Classic City Marathon Association for any and all registered participants and for the entire Athens area. We welcome experienced racers, and we also welcome everyone who is running or walking for fun, for health, for friendship, for connections, or for any other reason.
Our themes include community and joy; we love what we are doing, and we want everyone to love it with us! (If the distances are new to you, please be safe and follow a training plan.)
We also know that road races do not happen in a vacuum. We need and love and appreciate our spectators, family members, volunteers, sponsors, donors, medical professionals, city workers, charity partners, neighborhood associations… everyone.
Our Classic City Marathon Association members would love to come talk with your group of potential runners, work with your club of current runners, or work with you or your group or your business in any creative ways you can think of that might help people connect with us or that might benefit all runners, all walkers, and our entire Athens area.
